Most of the organizations we work with didn’t come to us because something broke. They came because they were tired of not knowing. Tired of wondering whether the backups were running, whether that plugin update would take the donation page down, whether the person who built the site three years ago would answer an email.
Ongoing care answers that.
Every plan includes core, plugin, theme, and PHP updates; daily off-site backups with tested restores; security hardening and malware scanning; uptime monitoring; performance checks; and a set amount of small content edits each month.
You also get a monthly report written in plain English. Not a dashboard export with eleven charts and no conclusion — a short note that says what we did, what we found, and whether anything needs your attention. Most months the answer is no, and that’s the point.
This is most of what we do. A site gets built, the developer moves on, and a few years pass. Nobody is quite sure what’s under the hood anymore.
We start with a full audit: versions, security, speed, and the risks sitting under the surface. Then we document what we find, in language you can forward to a board member. We fix the urgent things first, bring the site to a healthy baseline, and take over from there.
You don’t need to know what’s wrong before you call. Finding that out is the first thing we do.
Pick ongoing care, a one-time tune-up, or a fresh build. Most nonprofits start with a monthly maintenance plan.
WordPress core, plugins, themes, and PHP, updated on a steady schedule and tested before anything reaches your live site. Updates are the most common way a working website quietly stops working — a plugin conflicts, a theme function disappears, a PHP version moves on without you. We run them in a staging copy first, check the pages that matter, and only then push them live. If something doesn’t agree, you never see it.
Hardening, malware scanning, firewall rules, and daily off-site backups. The backup part is easy to promise and easy to get wrong, so we test restores rather than assume them — a backup you’ve never restored is a hope, not a safeguard. Copies are kept off your server, so a compromised site doesn’t take its own recovery down with it.
Caching, image optimization, and Core Web Vitals tuning. Speed is not vanity for a nonprofit — a donation page that takes six seconds on a phone loses people who fully intended to give. We measure on real mobile connections rather than a fast desktop, fix what’s actually slowing the page, and keep an eye on it as your content grows.
Round-the-clock monitoring with instant alerts. If your site hiccups, we’re usually already on it before you notice. That matters most at the worst possible moment: a campaign launch, a newsletter send, a grant deadline.
New pages, copy edits, swapped images, an updated board list, a fixed link. The steady stream of small things that pile up when nobody owns them. Send an email, get it done — no ticket system, no change-request form, no quoting a two-line edit.
New builds, redesigns, and migrations — and then we stay on to maintain what we made. That last part changes how we build. When you know you’ll be the one keeping a site running for years, you don’t reach for the plugin that saves an afternoon and costs a decade.
A full audit of your current site — versions, security, speed, and the risks hiding under the surface.
As you need new pages, features, or a refresh, we build them — without ever leaving you stranded.
Nonprofits and NGOs are who we serve, and plans are priced with that in mind. It’s a deliberate choice, not a discount category — the work suits us. You tend to run lean, your site has to do real work, and there’s rarely someone in-house whose job is watching it.
We’re based in Nova Scotia and work with organizations across Canada and beyond. You get an accountable studio in your time zone during the workday, and the same person every time. No account manager relaying messages to someone you never meet.
WordPress is our home turf and where we add the most value. If you’re on something else, we’re happy to talk — and if we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
