Covet the Simple
Can you live with less? Not a new question by any means but it’s one that I have been asking myself regularly over the last few years. I base my business philosophy around simplicity. The idea being that if you strip out many of the bells and whistles you have something that’s probably easier for your audience to use and for you to maintain.
My enthusiasm for simplicity in design does not translate well to my private life, however. As a tech junkie, I still get excited by gadgets and sometimes think, the more the merrier, and as I cast my gaze around the office, I find myself making justifications for all these things. I mean, I do use all of them, right? Well, while that may be true, I probably don’t need half of them.
Mid-year resolution … buy less stuff, and find good homes for the stuff I don’t need.
Truth be told, I don’t blog often, but when I do you can read it here. Generally you will find the odd post about a particular piece of technology or useful web application that’s caught my eye.
