LittleSnapper. Sharing made simple.

Recently released is another Mac application that I really like called LittleSnapper. Done by the good folks at RealMac, who also produce RapidWeaver, LittleSnapper offers a nice way for me to screenshot concepts, annotate them, and post them online for clients to view.

Time to Change Hosts

I made the decision today to pack up the Spadewerk site, and all the little bits and pieces that go with it, and move it over to Media Temple. I would like to tell you that I was swayed by their fancy website and dreamy UI but it’s their scalable service that finally won me over. In recent months, the Spadewerk website has seen a sharp increase in traffic and I was noticing some sluggishness at Bluehost where the site is currently located. So, it’s time to kick the tires over at (mt) to see how they roll.

No disrespect to Bluehost intended here. I have been pretty happy with them the few years I have been there and would continue to recommend them for hosting small to medium sized websites. Their customer service is quick, and it was always nice to get a voice at the other end of the phone the few times I needed the aid of an actual human being. Their hosting is cheap and fairly cheerful, I just wish it could scale to meet my increasing traffic. I would gladly have paid more for the privilege.

So, if you see the Spadewerk site go down over the next little bit, be patient, it just means I have entered DNS hell and am trying to find my way through the flames.
