I made the decision today to pack up the Spadewerk site, and all the little bits and pieces that go with it, and move it over to Media Temple. I would like to tell you that I was swayed by their fancy website and dreamy UI but it’s their scalable service that finally won me over.
As someone who recommends technology for a living, I install and test a lot of software. What really helps me is when a collection of applications is bundled together at a reduced price. It’s easy on my wallet and lets me look at some software I may not have seen otherwise.
The good folks at MacUpdate have put together another bundle that I think is worth a look. It packages up Forklift, RapidWeaver, Swift Publisher, Marine Aquarium, Xslimmer, MemoryMiner and Yep for a $50 price tag. They have even thrown this bundle together with an added carrot dangling that unlocks 3 additional applications, if certain sales targets are met. Not a bad little hook.
Inevitably with bundles like this there are applications that you don’t really need but in this particular bundle Rapidweaver and Swift Publisher make is worth the price of admission. Yep is another application that peaks my interest as my PDF management on this machine is a little out of control. I’ll review that one later.
